Biography

Armand Konan was born in Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire). He currently lives and works in Ottawa where he holds an engineering position with Canada Post. He also lived in Montreal and in the city of Geneva. His many trips to Africa, Europe, America, and Asia fueled his imagination. This is reflected in his taste for innovation, put into practice in his profession, and for science fiction. Writing is a way for Armand to convey his ideas about life to us. “L’Univers Rêvé” (The Dreamed Universe) is his first published story (available in French language). It deals with the theme of dreams and the unconscious.

Description of L’Univers Rêvé

Eliam is afraid to fully assume his vocation as an artist. He then finds himself suddenly plunged into a parallel reality shaped by his most intimate thoughts, which take shape before his eyes. To survive in this "Dream Universe", he will have to defeat an enemy who is none other than the personification of his fears.

Author's words about the book

« “L’Univers Rêvé” (The Dreamed Universe) is a concept. An idea developed around a question: What if our inner reality materialized and surrounded us? We all project ourselves in our imagination, so we all live somewhere in a Dreamed Universe. The story is also inspired by my years after leaving university. At the time of our lives when nights out and evenings with friends are accompanied by a quest for self and direction. »
